Dear Parents,

As you know well, tomorrow is September 11, the day that we, as New Yorkers and
Americans, pledged never to forget.

The Big Apple Academy and its staff takes this promise seriously and will educate
our students about the tragedy of the terror attacks that occurred not so long ago.

In honor of the memory of those lost that day, we will begin the school day with a
minute of silence.

While our students are taught about what is now a tragic historic event for them,
we remember it differently because we lived it. With that said, please continue to
remember that the Big Apple Academy adheres to security measures that will
protect each and every student if such a necessity arises.
