English Department Presents:
with Your Favorite Literary Character

It has become our school’s fine tradition to celebrate Valentine’s Day with the students’ favorite literary characters. Both English Department teachers and students come to school dressed up in their favorite literary character costume. In addition, hey bring their favorite book and present it in class.

Students’ presentations vary from two to three sentences about their favorite character to writing a detailed paragraph and reading aloud their favorite part of the book. Students and teachers enjoy this magical experience tremendously, but most importantly it promotes love for reading and books. Here is some of our magic that took place on Lake Street on February 14, 2018.
